Comvision
Virtual Matrix is a software-based
Digital Video Surveillance System that utilises the latest in
software integration to bring together any number of Comvision
NSR series recorders. This truly
digital solution has eliminated the need for past generation
analogue hardware such as switches, composite monitors,
multiplexers and VCR’s giving users access to the advantages
and flexibility of IP networked hardware solutions.
NSR’s
can be distributed over a standard LAN or WAN network.
Up to 16 cameras can be configured to each individual NSR.
All functions of the NSR, including live camera images
together with stored images, are then managed by Comvision
Virtual Matrix
workstations.
Individual cameras on NSR’s can be programmed into groups
on each Virtual Matrix workstation and then
selected from the group via a mouse or touch screen system.
Each Comvision Virtual Matrix
workstation can simultaneously connect to multiple cameras and
multiple NSR’s across the network giving the user a vast array of
“Virtual Matrix” functionality.
What's
new ?
Virtual Matrix Functionality :
PenControl can now control the
Comvision Virtual Matrix software. This gives users the ability to implement
a virtual matrix through PenControl's "Graphical User
Interface".
What's a virtual matrix? The Comvision
Virtual Matrix software is used to
network any number of distributed NSR's on a LAN or WAN. Cameras can
then be displayed on a video wall (of VGA monitors) by selecting
them off on the PenControl maps. It is therefore possible to view
and control cameras from NSR's located anywhere in the world.
